Philadelphia Engagement Portraits | Leslie and Scott's Temple University Portraits

Engagement Portraits at Race Street Pier

*Posted by Matt*

Temple University has played a huge part in my life. I have spent almost half of my life at the university either studying or teaching (I also started this business with a fellow Owl!) so when I get the opportunity to incorporate anything Temple-related into my work, I jump!

Leslie and Scott felt the same way about the university and wanted to incorporate that into their engagement portraits. They met at the university and started their life together there. So when we were discussing locations, they immediately said wanted to do their engagement portraits at Temple University. We couldn't have been more excited!

We met on campus and hit the main spots like the Bell Tower, Liacouras Walk, and others. We also incorporated their dorm building, James S. White Hall, and their late-night spot, the Temple Star Chinese Restaurant on Diamond Street!

After we had our fill of portraits at Tempe University, we reconvened for some more portraits at Race Street Pier.

Thanks for taking us back to our roots guys!

Check out their wedding photos here.

New Jersey Engagement Photography | Linda & John's Beach Engagement Portraits

New Jersey Beach Engagement Portrait Strathmere

*Posted by Matt*

We always try to encourage people to pick a place that really means something to them when they are figuring out where to do their engagement portraits. That philosophy has taken us as far as New York City for engagement portraits because that's where people live. It's also taken us to places like Citizen's Bank Park for engagement portraits.

When it was time to figure out where we were going to meet Linda and John, they immediately thought of doing their engagement portraits in Strathmere, where they spend a good amount of their free time. We love the beach so it was NOT a hard sell to get us there!

We started on the beach and then wandered through town towards the bay before ending up at their family home for a few pictures with their dog!

Now, you might be asking 'but we know these guys from somewhere??' and you'd be correct. If you have spent time on our blog then you've seen them before here. Their Union Trust wedding pictures have graced these pages already. And the reason you're seeing new photos of them is because today is their one year anniversary!

Happy anniversary Linda and John!

Fairmount Park Engagement Portraits | Colette & Eric's Evansburg Park Portraits

*Posted by Matt*

Colette and Eric got married last year at one of my favorite venues, the Old Mill. We never showcased their wedding photos at the Old Mill, though, or even their engagement portraits. Well, we are going to rectify that right here, right now!

These two are truly a unique pairing. Their sense of humor along was enough to make them stand out. I honestly have never laughed as hard during a wedding as I did on their wedding day.

They also complement each other in their shared love of the outdoors and, specifically, camping. So they asked if they could do their engagement portraits while camping. We, of course, said yes!

I met up with them at Evansburg State Park for portraits and it was one of the easiest engagement sessions I ever did. They were so comfortable with each other and so natural. I barely had to direct them at all.
